Italian Cooking Master Class with Tuscan Chef Donatella
Last Friday night we were pleased to present chef Donatella from Tuscany for an evening of Italian food & wine.
Donatella, who runs cooking classes worldwide, chose to do her first Australian cooking classes in collaboration with Tours of Tuscany & Gourmet Living.
Prosseco on arrival with fresh ciabatta, Moredough Kitchen Grissini, Frantoio olive oil & sticky balsamic made for a perfect start to the evening. Our guests were then treated to a 5 course cooking demonstration.
Panzanella salad with Pecorini crostini led the way accompanied by a King Valley Pinot Grigio. Gnocchi with gorgonzola & Pici pasta followed with a Tuscan Sangiovese. We then had spiced chicken with a rosemary chick pea puree and all finished off with Torta della Nonna; a shortcrust custard cake.
